You will no doubt have read that IOP Publishing, the current owner
of Compound Semiconductor magazine and its associated website
compoundsemiconductor.net, has ceased publication of the
title.
Following on from that announcement, we are pleased to inform
Compound Semiconductor readers and advertisers that talks are now
progressing regarding the sale of the magazine and the website to
another publisher with an established business serving the global
semiconductor industry.
While the deal is not yet finalized, both parties are working
towards successful transfer of the assets later this month.
Assuming both parties can agree terms, we anticipate no
interruption in the print schedule of Compound Semiconductor
magazine, with all of the remaining 2009 issues and the associated
advertising schedules going ahead as planned.
After a brief hiatus, the daily news service on
compoundsemiconductor.net is also expected to be up and running
again before the end of Q3.
We will provide a further update on the status of the products by
the end of this month.
