由于R18又推出了eRedcap(enhanced reduced capabilities),在标准中Redcap和eRadcap的技术指标是分开来定义的,所以我们也分两次来学习。今天先来看Redcap的参考灵敏度。

01、双工Redcap的参考灵敏度

5G Redcap设备跟5G其他设备相比,有很多的特殊性。由于它是Reduced capability,所以它的功耗、复杂度、成本都应该大幅度降低。所以RedCap能够支持HD-FDD,即半双工FDD模式就不足为奇了。

说到半双工(HD:half Duplex),我们可以联想到对讲机,对讲机的使用频率和发射功率,它的收发不同时进行,也就是说不需要双工器。双工器是什么呢?简单地说,就是在天线和接收、发射通道之间,让Rx和Tx可以同时进行的滤波设备。如下图所示,左边是一个用于基站的n8频段双工器的实物图,右边是原理图,收发隔离度可以达到50dB,价格大概是¥30/只(10000只起)。如果不需要双工器的话,也就是HD-FDD的Redcap设备,那么在天线和收发通道之间放一个切换开关就可以了。

所以又把Redcap设备的参考灵敏度分为全双工和半双工分别来进行定义。

此外,我们之前也提到过,5G的终端设备中,只有Redcap设备可以只配备一个Rx天线端口,最多两个。那么对于配备2个接收天线端口的RedCap用户设备,最大吞吐量的95%的参考灵敏度要求与单载波2Rx天线一致。对于配备1个接收天线端口的RedCap用户设备,应该在2Rx端口的基础上,根据下表7.3I.2.3-1中ΔR1R对相应工作频段进行修订。

总体而言,除n1频段FDD和HD-FDD在对应Rx天线端口情况下基本持平,其他频段,HD-FDD均比FDD的参考灵敏度要更严格。也就是说半双工的情况下,不仅可以节省成本,还可以提升接收机的性能。对于一些物联网传感器、可穿戴设备的使用场景而言,半双工的机制是更加经济实惠的。
