土耳其成了全球变压器枢纽

Hitachi Energy has inaugurated a new transformer components factory in Dilovası, Turkey, expanding its global manufacturing capacity amid rising demand for power infrastructure equipment.

The 13,000-square-meter facility replaces the company’s previous site in Tuzla, Istanbul, and is intended to improve production scalability and reduce lead times for key transformer components. The site manufactures de-energized tap changers, measurement and safety devices, and porcelain and silicone bushings used in transformer systems across utilities, renewable energy projects, industry, data centers, and transport infrastructure.

According to the company, the investment is aimed at strengthening supply chain resilience as global transformer demand continues to exceed supply. The facility is also designed to support customers across Turkey, the Middle East and Africa, India, and other international markets.

The factory incorporates updated production layouts, testing systems, and material flow optimization to improve operational efficiency. It also includes sustainability features such as energy monitoring systems, improved indoor air quality controls, and the use of eco-friendly chemicals and recycled-material spare parts.

At the inauguration, Carlos Pettinau, HUB APMEA Manager, Business Unit Transformers at Hitachi Energy, stated: "This expansion strengthens our ability to support customers worldwide at a time when power systems are evolving faster than ever. The Dilovası factory plays a critical role in delivering reliable transformer components that enable the energy transition."

The company noted that the new site builds on more than four decades of manufacturing experience in Türkiye and forms part of its wider global production network spanning over 70 countries.
