Today, humanoid robots are rapidly transitioning from prototyping to mass production, while data centers—driven by soaring compute density—are placing increasing demands on the synergy between high-efficiency power delivery and liquid cooling. Furthermore, integrated optical-storage-charging stations are gradually becoming standard infrastructure for new energy systems. These scenarios impose higher requirements on real-time control precision, power conversion efficiency, thermal management capabilities, and functional safety levels, propelling high-end MCUs, real-time control DSPs, and high-precision sensing chips into a period of volume growth.
In the past, core components such as high-end MCUs, real-time control DSPs, and high-precision encoder chips were long dominated by vendors from Europe, the U.S., and Japan. In recent years, fueled by overlapping demands from the 15th Five-Year Plan’s focus on high-end intelligent manufacturing, embodied intelligence, the low-altitude economy, and new energy vehicles, domestic chip companies are evolving from "single-point substitution" to "full-link solution delivery." According to industry statistics, while the global MCU and real-time control chip market in 2024 remains dominated by international players such as Renesas, TI, and Infineon, Chinese manufacturers have begun mass-producing competitive alternatives featuring Armv7-M/Armv8-M architectures, Helium edge-AI acceleration, and functional safety certifications. Among them, Zhuhai Geehy Semiconductor—leveraging over two decades of expertise in chip design and embedded system development—has built a full-stack "Main Control + Driver + Sensing" matrix. This spans from APM32 high-performance MCUs, G32R501 real-time control MCU/DSPs, and G32R430 encoder-specific MCUs, to motor control SoCs, automotive lighting driver ICs, and ultrasonic sensors. These products have achieved scaled adoption across high-end intelligent manufacturing, the low-altitude economy, energy technology, embodied intelligence, and new energy vehicles.
Recently, 《Atlas Interview》 sat down with Liu Yang, Director of the Industrial Control Chip Division at Geehy Semiconductor, to systematically review the company’s industrial strategy. Their discussion covered product portfolios, embodied intelligence initiatives, AI computing infrastructure enablement, high-integration servo motor solutions, commercial deployment of optical-storage-charging systems, and full-industry-chain domestic adaptation.
